About Ghraas Program

The Ghraas Graduate Development Program is a flagship initiative by the Department of Finance (DOF), Abu Dhabi, designed to attract, develop, certify, and empower talented UAE Nationals to become the next generation of finance leaders within Abu Dhabi’s evolving public finance sector. The program delivers a comprehensive development journey built around four core pillars: Education, Exposure, Experience, Employability. The program achieves these objectives through: Strategic talent sourcing in collaboration with leading UAE-based and international universities, robust assessment processes designed to identify and nurture high-potential talent, development of participants' technical, professional, and leadership capabilities, preparation for globally recognized professional certifications and qualifications, senior leadership engagement and industry experts, participation in capstone projects and structured on-the-job training.

Ghraas focuses on three key phases:

Professional Upskilling Journey

This phase offers a structured pathway focused on: Finance, Digital innovation and AI, Business Skills. The learning experience is delivered in partnership with: Best-in-class training providers, distinguished international experts and facilitators. This phase also includes: Comprehensive assessments, interactive e-learning modules, employability-focused learning activities designed to strengthen workplace readiness and professional effectiveness.

Professional Qualification Phase

During this phase, participants receive: Specialized training programs, assessments, personalized coaching and one-on-one guidance sessions, preparation for globally recognized professional certifications, including: CFA, CMA, CPA. This phase also provides participants with opportunities to: Exposure to senior leaders, industry experts, and business stakeholders, gain valuable industry exposure and practical insights while building professional networks aligned with their long-term career aspirations.

On-the-Job Training (OJT)

During this phase, participants gain hands-on professional experience through: Working across various Department of Finance functions and departments, contributing to high-impact strategic initiatives and projects, delivering capstone projects under the guidance and mentorship of subject matter experts and business stakeholders. Through this phase, the program supports participants in: Strengthening technical, behavioral, and leadership competencies, enhancing readiness to perform effectively in both operational and strategic finance environments, benefiting from structured mentorship, and immersive real-world learning experiences.
